Financial services offices and confidential paper
Bournemouth and Poole are home to several large banks, insurers and their back-office operations, along with many smaller accountancy and legal practices. When these offices clear out, the archive rooms and filing cabinets are often the biggest compliance risk.
We bring locked consoles, empty cabinets on site and take the paper under a documented chain of custody to be shredded to BS EN 15713. Shredded paper is then recycled into new paper and packaging. You receive a certificate of destruction to keep with your data protection records.
Areas we cover
We cover the full BCP area and the A31 corridor, including:
- Bournemouth town centre and the Lansdowne
- Wessex Fields and Castle Lane
- Aviation Business Park at Bournemouth Airport, Hurn
- Poole, including Holes Bay and Fleets Corner
- Christchurch, Ferndown and Ringwood
Reuse before recycling
Good-quality office furniture is set aside for reuse first. Our team will flag items worth keeping at the survey, which can offset part of your cost and keeps material in use longer. Everything else is separated into metal, timber, plastics and fabric and sent to the right recycler, rather than mixed and sent away as general waste.
Pricing a clearance in BCP
There is no charging Clean Air Zone in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole, so there is no city access charge in our quotes. Price depends mainly on volume, access and how much paper or IT needs certified destruction. Send photos for a quick estimate or book a survey for a fixed written quote.
Summer traffic on the A338 and A35 can be heavy, so for seafront and town centre buildings we usually schedule early starts in peak season.
Archive rooms and filing cabinets
Archive rooms are usually the slowest part of a financial services clearance. A single four-drawer filing cabinet can hold several thousand sheets, and many offices have rows of them plus boxed archives in storage. Before we start, it is worth checking your retention policy so that only records that are due for destruction are removed.
Our crew empties cabinets straight into locked consoles in the room, so files are never left in open bags in corridors or loading areas. Empty cabinets then go for reuse or metal recycling. If you need certain records kept, we can box and label them for your new office or off-site storage while the rest is destroyed.
Planning around the season
Bournemouth's roads and seafront are much busier in the summer months and during events, which affects parking, loading and journey times. For town centre and Lansdowne offices we plan early starts in peak season and, where needed, book suspensions or loading permissions in advance. Business parks at Wessex Fields, Hurn and Poole are less affected and can usually be booked at shorter notice.
If your lease ends in summer, book a few weeks earlier than you would in winter so the crew and vehicle slots you need are available.
